ANNISTON, AL — The Public Library of Anniston and Calhoun County will host celebrated storyteller Dolores Hydock for a special event titled State Souvenirs on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. The program is part of the library’s ongoing Adult Summer Reading Program.
Known for her engaging narratives and theatrical delivery, Hydock will present a series of stories inspired by her travels. Attendees can expect tales from international locales including the cobblestone streets of Prague, a snowy day in Paris, and a London bus stop. The event also includes a humorous look at the advice one often receives before embarking on a journey.
The event will take place at the library’s main location, 108 E 10th Street in Anniston. Library staff encourage the community to attend and enjoy a unique storytelling experience that blends travel, humor, and insight.
The program is open to the public and supports the library’s mission to provide enriching cultural experiences through its summer initiatives.
