Anniston Changers

Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston and its volunteer initiative, the Anniston Changers, are preparing for the annual Woodstock 5K by organizing a community cleanup event. The service project will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM CT, with volunteers meeting in the Anniston High School parking lot, located at 1301 Woodstock Avenue.

This effort aims to ensure the Woodstock 5K race course is in top condition ahead of the event scheduled for August 2, 2025. Cleanup activities will include mowing, landscaping, and litter removal along the race route and surrounding areas.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own lawnmowers, landscaping tools, and gloves, though additional tasks will be available for those without equipment. Participants can register to volunteer at the City of Anniston’s official website.

This initiative continues the Anniston Changers’ ongoing mission to promote civic pride and beautification through hands-on community service. The City invites residents to come out and help create a welcoming environment for race participants and visitors.
