Governor Ivey to Proclaim College Colors Day

MONTGOMERY — Governor Kay Ivey, joined by students and mascots from Alabama’s 14 public universities and institutions, hosted a ceremony Thursday at the Alabama State Capitol to proclaim Friday, August 29, 2025, as College Colors Day in the state.

The event, held on the Capitol’s front steps, began at 11:00 a.m. and featured remarks from Governor Ivey. She emphasized the importance of Alabama’s public universities in educating students, serving communities, and shaping the future of the state.
