ANNISTON — The Anniston Museums and Gardens will present What’s the Story: Way of the Samurai with Blades in Motion Katana Demonstration on Saturday, October 4, beginning at 1 p.m.
The event invites visitors to experience the museum’s Way of the Samurai temporary exhibition before it concludes and to learn more about the traditions of Japan’s elite warrior class. Educational Interpreters will lead interactive activities and share stories in the gallery from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The afternoon will open with a live demonstration by local teen Hannah Oehrig, who will showcase creativity, discipline, and athleticism through a katana performance that blends traditional martial arts techniques with modern presentation.
The program is included with regular museum admission and is free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members.
