BIRMINGHAM, AL — For the 16th consecutive year, Children’s of Alabama has been ranked among the nation’s best hospitals for children by U.S. News & World Report. The ranking recognizes excellence in pediatric specialty care and identifies Children’s as the top hospital for children in Alabama.

Children’s of Alabama earned national recognition in eight pediatric specialty services in U.S. News & World Report’s2025 rankings. The report evaluates hospitals based on clinical data, patient safety, infection prevention, staffing adequacy, and other quality measures.
Since 1911, Children’s of Alabama has served patients across every county in the state and nearly every U.S. state, providing inpatient, outpatient, and primary care. The hospital also serves as the primary teaching site for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine’s pediatric programs, with faculty physicians, residents, and researchers working collaboratively to advance pediatric health care and medical education.
The continued recognition underscores Children’s of Alabama’s commitment to providing high-quality, specialized care for children and families throughout the Southeast.
