JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville State University (JSU) Police Department is urging students, faculty, and staff to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious or concerning activity. Officials stress that community awareness and timely reporting are critical to maintaining campus safety.
According to the university’s public safety records, several incidents were reported across campus from mid-August through early September 2025. These include thefts, harassment, harassment communications, criminal mischief, underage alcohol possession, assault, and possession of marijuana. Some cases remain pending, while others have been closed following investigation.

On November 23, 2025, at 18:19, an incident classified as Rape – Other Weapon was reported under case number 112500042, which remains pending. The offense occurred at Delta Chi on November 20, 2025, at 16:36, with documentation showing activity on February 1, 2025, at 01:00, and again on November 20, 2025, at 16:49.
On November 22, 2025, at 10:16, and again on November 23, 2025, at 13:00, a case involving Possession with Intent to Disseminate Child Pornography was processed under case number 112500039, which is pending. This incident was recorded at Dixon Hall on November 19, 2025, at 14:54, with the same timestamp listed for occurrence and reporting.
A case involving PDP/UPDP Drug Paraphernalia – 2nd Offense and MPT Minor in Possession of Tobacco was documented under case number 112500036, now closed.
