Oxford, AL – The Oxford Performing Arts Center will host a collaborative evening of live music featuring Dalton Jones and Reese Burke on January 15, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The event, organized by Oxford Performing Arts Center under the banner “Dalton Jones and Reese Burke Music,” will take place at the venue located at 100 E. Choccolocco St, Oxford, AL, 36203.
The performance will highlight two emerging Alabama artists whose musical paths reflect different influences and styles. Organizers with the Oxford Performing Arts Center describe the show as an opportunity for audiences to experience both original compositions and genre-spanning covers in an intimate theater setting.
Reese Burke is an eighteen-year-old music artist from Heflin, Alabama. She developed an appreciation for multiple genres early in life and later began performing her own material. Encouraged by her father, a live musician, Burke made her first public appearance at an open mic night in 2017.
At fifteen, a personal conversation inspired her to write what she considers her first fully polished song, “Skeleton.” Burke released her self-written EP Half-Wasted Summers in March 2024, featuring three tracks including “Skeleton.”
In fall 2024, Burke enrolled at Auburn University while continuing to perform across Alabama. Her shows include covers from various genres, songs from her EP, and unreleased originals as she seeks additional opportunities to expand her audience.
Dalton Jones is a country singer and songwriter from Jacksonville, Alabama. His musical background is rooted in church performances with his father, and he taught himself guitar at age thirteen. Jones spent years writing songs privately before launching his music career in August 2024 with encouragement from his wife.
Since beginning his professional journey, Jones has performed at bars, festivals, and community stages, presenting a blend of country covers and personal originals focused on themes such as family, work, and small-town life.
Jones is currently preparing his debut full-length album and continues to build a regional following through live performances.
