Anniston, AL – The CAST Academy of the Performing Arts (CAPA) will present its 2026 competition production of Into the Woods, Jr., featuring student performers ages 8–18, with performances scheduled for late January and early February.
Shows will take place at the JSU McClellan Theatre on Friday, January 30, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 1, at 2 p.m. Theatre doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online through the CAST Academy website at www.castalabama.org.
Into the Woods, Jr. is a youth-friendly adaptation of the classic musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, weaving together familiar fairy tale characters as their stories intersect in a magical forest. The production explores themes of wishes, consequences, and personal growth through humor, music, and heartfelt storytelling.
The show serves as CAPA’s annual competition performance, highlighting the talents and dedication of its young performers while offering a family-friendly theatrical experience for the community.
