Jacksonville, AL – The City of Jacksonville will host its annual Black History Month Program on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Jacksonville Community Center, located at 501 Alexandria Rd. SW.
The public event, organized by the City of Jacksonville, Alabama, will highlight Black history and culture through music, student artwork, and community participation. Organizers say the program will also feature artwork created by local students and include the announcement of results from the Jacksonville Arts Council’s Black History Month art contest.
The program is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to recognize and commemorate Black history and contributions within the Jacksonville community. City officials have invited residents to attend and take part in the observance, which aims to celebrate cultural heritage and promote community engagement.
The event is open to the public.
