OXFORD, AL — Mike Rogers (AL-03) is inviting high school students across Alabama’s Third Congressional District to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition, a nationwide program that highlights the artistic talents of students from across the country.
Each year, the competition offers high school students the opportunity to submit original artwork for consideration. The winning entry from Alabama’s Third District will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., where it will remain on exhibit for one year for visitors from around the world to view.
The theme for the 2026 competition is “America’s 250th Birthday,” reflecting the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial celebration. Student artwork will be accepted between April 14 and April 17, and additional submission guidelines are available through Rep. Rogers’ office.

The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students residing in the district and serves as a platform to recognize and encourage artistic creativity while providing national exposure for young artists.
