Oxford, AL – Oxford Parks and Recreation will host its annual Mardi Gras 5K Run on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Choccolocco Park.
The event, known for its festive atmosphere, welcomes both runners and walkers. The race will begin at 8 a.m., with registration opening at 7 a.m. All participants will receive an official race shirt.
Pre-registration is available in person at the Oxford Civic Center, located at 401 McCullers Lane, or online through the department’s social media page. The pre-registration fee is $17, while day-of registration will be $20. Members of the Anniston Runner’s Club may register for $15.
The 5K Run will include male and female age divisions in the following brackets: 14 and under; 15–19; 20–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–69; and 70 and up.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers overall, as well as to the top three finishers in each age division. There will be no duplication of awards.
