Jacksonville, AL – The Jacksonville State University Saxophone Studio will host its 2026 Spring Studio Recital on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mason Hall Recital Hall (Room 350) on the campus of Jacksonville State University.
Organized by the Jacksonville State University Saxophone Studio and instructor Sarah Dunbar-Moon, the recital will feature student performers presenting a variety of musical selections written for saxophone. The program will include both solo performances and chamber ensemble pieces, highlighting the versatility of the instrument across different musical styles.
Studio recitals provide students with the opportunity to perform before a live audience while developing stage experience and musical interpretation. Performances often showcase a range of repertoire that reflects both classical and contemporary works arranged for saxophone.
The event is scheduled to last approximately one hour, beginning at 7:30 p.m. and concluding around 8:30 p.m.
The recital will take place at Mason Hall, located at 700 Pelham Road North in Jacksonville, AL, on the Jacksonville State University campus.
The 2026 Spring Studio Recital is free and open to the public, and community members are invited to attend and support the student musicians.
