CALHOUN COUNTY, AL — The AlaTrust4U Foundation has announced its 2026 scholarship recipients, recognizing students across Alabama for their academic achievements and future goals. Among those honored are Taylor Reese Rollins of Jacksonville and Alexis Tarrance of Anniston.
Rollins, a student at Jacksonville High School, was selected as one of eight scholarship recipients statewide. She plans to attend the University of South Alabama this fall. According to the foundation, recipients were chosen based on essays detailing their educational goals, career ambitions, and how the scholarship will support their future plans.
In addition to the general scholarship awards, Tarrance was named the 2026 Momentum Scholar of the Year, the top recipient among all applicants. She is currently attending the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she is pursuing a degree in cyber security. Like other recipients, Tarrance was selected through an application process that included personal essays focused on academic and career aspirations.
“The most rewarding part of this program each year is reading the students’ essays and learning about their dreams for the future,” said Rachel Kang, Director of the AlaTrust4U Foundation Board. “These scholarships represent more than financial support — they represent encouragement, opportunity, and our belief in the potential of our members.”
The AlaTrust4U Foundation, supported by AlaTrust Credit Union, awards scholarships annually as part of its mission to support education, expand financial literacy, and strengthen communities across Alabama.
Applications for the next scholarship cycle are scheduled to open on August 1, 2026.
