ANNISTON, AL — The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County is inviting families to take part in a hands-on learning experience designed for young gardeners this week.
A Children’s Gardening Class is scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m. at the library, located at 108 E 10th Street in Anniston. The event is open to the public and welcomes participants both on and off Facebook.
According to event details, the class will combine interactive activities such as games and crafts with practical instruction in plant care. Children will have the opportunity to learn the basics of gardening while engaging in a fun, educational environment.
Organizers say the program is designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of growing and nurturing plants. Participants will also have the chance to take a plant home, allowing them to continue practicing what they’ve learned beyond the class.
The event is part of the library’s ongoing efforts to provide community-centered programming that encourages learning through hands-on experiences.
