- Dr. David West introduced Vanessa Wood and Bre Steele to discuss the No Child Left Inside Outdoor Classroom. This classroom has a bond, and 350 seat amphitheater, a waterfall, and many native plants. It was also designated at a National Wildlife Preserve. This allows children to learn in an outdoor environment and not be restricted to the classroom.

- Dr. Weston introduced Preston Hale with the 111 Legion in Oxford. Mr. Hale is helping revitalize Piney Wood Chapel. This will be an ongoing project he has asked the commission to assist with the purchasing of doors.
- Jon Garlick spoke about his run for Calhoun County Probate Judge. He listed his many certification and strong background in mental health as a large asset to being able to help those that came before him get the help they needed and avoid jail.
- Dr. Reyes, Calhoun County Superintendent, gave an update on school improvements and sports victory with special recognition to the Weaver Band and their “Domination of any other band in the state.”
- Julie Borrelli spoke and also mentioned she was running for Calhoun County Probate Judge, but took the time to thank the Commissioners for their hard work. She also acknowledged that much of what is done is not seen and often not released so she want dot publicly thank them for all they do.
- Linda Hearn with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce gave an update on the many event held over 2023 and also noted many more to come next year.
- Ed Turner with the Anniston Water and Sewer Board thanked the Commission for the many projects that were accomplished and noted the progress on the Wellborn Tower.
- Calhoun County Public Information Officer, Brittany Reeves reminded everyone of the pet adoption on 12/22 12:00pm to 4:00 pm at the Calhoun County Animal Control Facility.
