Anniston, AL – The Wiggins Community Center is set to host a high-energy, family-friendly event sure to get hearts racing and feet moving. The A-Town Runners Old Fashion Speed Meet will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the McClellan Sports Complex, located at 356 Summerall Gate Road in Anniston.
This lively track meet invites participants of all ages to lace up their running shoes and compete in sprints, mid-distance runs, and exciting relay races. A special twist to the relay events requires each team to include two girls/ladies and two boys/men, adding a fun and inclusive challenge for all.
Gates will open at 7:30 a.m., with a coaches meeting scheduled for 8:00 a.m. and the first event kicking off at 8:45 a.m. Tents are welcome in designated areas, and concessions will be available on-site throughout the day.
Admission is $10, with children under 4 admitted free, making it a perfect outing for families. For athletes looking to participate, registration is $25 per athlete and $5 per relay team, with the deadline to register set for Wednesday, May 21 at noon.
