Anniston, AL – The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County will host the AARP Smart Driver Course on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 108 E. 10th Street in Anniston.
The six-hour program provides participants with proven driving techniques to help improve safety on the road. In addition to promoting safer driving, those who complete the course may be eligible for a multi-year discount on their auto insurance, depending on their provider.
The course is open to both AARP members and non-members. Registration costs $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. Participants can prepay online at aarp.org or pay at the event using cash, check, or money order made payable to AARP.
Organizers emphasize that the program not only offers potential financial savings but also supports drivers in protecting themselves and their loved ones through updated safety knowledge and techniques.
