Additional Suspects Being Sought in February Robbery and Homicide

Anniston, AL – The Calhoun County Journal reported on a robbery/homicide that occurred in Anniston on February 1, 2022. The Anniston Police Department was able to arrest one suspect, Tramondez Jayquan Lynch, 20, of Talladega, on February 10, 2022.

Today the Anniston Police Department released a surveillance video of two other possible suspects and is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying them. We spoke with Police Chief, Nick Bowles, who advised the robbery was committed at an illegal gambling operation. The 4-5 suspects allegedly went into the building, located in the 2000 block of Front Street, and robbed the participants in the illegal game and then shot and killed the person acting as security. Jeffrey A. Brodeur, 54, of Anniston, was found outside the building with a gunshot wound, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Below is the video surveillance of the two unidentified suspects. The suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous:

Chief Bowles stated “It is for this very reason that we work hard to shut down these illegal gambling operations. Many times, these places are robbed, and it goes unreported because the victims know what they are doing is illegal.” He went on to say the department did locate a vehicle involved during the crime and is still investigating other avenues as well.
