Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Farmers Federation has announced its endorsement of Heath Allbright for the Alabama House of Representatives District 11 seat. The position became vacant following the recent resignation of Rep. Randall Shedd, R-Fairview.
Governor Kay Ivey has scheduled the special primary election for Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Allbright, a resident of Holly Pond, is a lifelong native of Cullman County. He is a graduate of Holly Pond High School and earned an associate degree in agricultural science from Snead State Community College. He has served two terms on the Cullman County School Board, with his most recent term concluding in December 2024.
In addition to his public service, Allbright owns and operates Brighton Forestry Services, a timber company that conducts business across north Alabama and eastern Mississippi.
District 11 encompasses northeast Cullman County and northern Blount County. The Alabama Farmers Federation, which has over 362,000 member families, endorsed Allbright through its grassroots selection process that relies on input from county Federation boards.
Cullman County Farmers Federation President Lee Haynes expressed support for Allbright’s candidacy, citing his past service and dedication to the community. Blount County Farmers Federation President Jeff Maze also voiced confidence in Allbright’s ability to represent the district’s agricultural and business interests.
Allbright lives with his wife, Breann, and their two children on their family farm in Holly Pond.
