MONTGOMERY, AL – Alabama is once again vying for national recognition, but this time it’s not for sports. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is participating in the American Association of State Troopers’ (AAST) annual Best-Looking Cruiser Contest, which invites public participation to vote for their favorite state cruiser photo.
Alabama’s entry features a visually striking combination: a Trooper Tahoe and an ALEA Camaro flanking Governor Kay Ivey and Miss America 2025, Abbie Stockard. The image aims to represent the pride and professionalism of Alabama’s law enforcement.
“This annual contest is a fun way to engage in friendly competition with our fellow state agencies for a good cause,” said ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor. He also expressed appreciation for the participation of Governor Ivey and Miss Stockard, describing them as proud representatives of the state.
Voting for the contest opened on July 1 and will remain active through July 11. Participants can vote by visiting the SurveyMonkey link provided by AAST, selecting Alabama’s cruiser photo from a dropdown menu, and completing a simple CAPTCHA verification.
The winning photo will be featured on the cover of the 2026 “America’s Best Looking Trooper Cruisers” calendar, with proceeds benefiting the AAST Foundation. The foundation offers educational scholarships to the dependents of member troopers.
