MONTGOMERY, AL — Alabama Governor Kay Ivey and Secretary of State Wes Allen are encouraging residents to prepare for the November 3, 2026, General Election, reminding voters of important deadlines, identification requirements, and resources available ahead of Election Day.
The election will determine several statewide and federal offices, including governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, and one United States Senate seat. Voters will also select representatives for the U.S. House of Representatives and the Alabama Legislature, with all seats in the Alabama House and Senate appearing on the ballot.
Additionally, Alabama voters will consider four proposed statewide constitutional amendments. Depending on their location, voters may also see judicial races, local elections, and local constitutional amendments.
Governor Ivey issued a statement Friday emphasizing the importance of voter participation in determining the state’s future.
“Alabama’s future will be shaped by the people we send to Montgomery and Washington, and that decision belongs to you,” said Ivey. “Our state is experiencing historic momentum in areas like job creation, education, infrastructure, and public safety, to name just a few. I want that progress to continue for our children and grandchildren. So, y’all, get to the polls on November 3.”
Secretary of State Wes Allen also issued reminders encouraging voters to verify their registration information, confirm their polling locations, and review sample ballots before arriving at the polls.
“AlabamaVotes.gov remains the best resource for voters preparing to exercise their right to vote in the November 3 General Election,” said Allen. “Alabamians can verify their voter registration status, find their polling location, and review their county’s sample ballot ahead of Election Day.”
For voters in Calhoun and Cleburne counties, the Secretary of State’s website provides access to county-specific sample ballots, allowing residents to review the candidates and proposed amendments that will appear on their ballots.
