Montgomery, AL — Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen will preside over the state’s 2024 Meeting of the Electors on December 17, 2024, to formally cast votes for President-Elect Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect JD Vance.
The meeting, a constitutional requirement following the general election, will convene at 12:00 p.m. in the historic chamber of the Alabama House of Representatives on the second floor of the State Capitol Building in Montgomery. Governor Kay Ivey is scheduled to deliver remarks before the ceremony begins.
Under both state and federal law, electors from each state meet on the first Tuesday after the second Wednesday in December to cast their votes for President and Vice President, completing a key step in the Electoral College process.
