U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) celebrated the inauguration as a turning point for the nation, expressing confidence in the administration’s ability to deliver on promises.

“Today is a new day in America with President Donald Trump’s historic inauguration,” Britt stated. “From day one, promises made will become promises kept. My Senate Republicans and I stand ready to help deliver real results for hardworking families in every corner of America. Our nation’s best days are ahead.”

Britt also praised the swift Senate confirmation of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, calling it a significant step in implementing President Trump’s “peace through strength doctrine” and securing America’s interests at home and abroad.

Governor Kay Ivey: Optimism for America’s Future

Governor Kay Ivey congratulated President Trump and Vice President Vance, emphasizing Alabama’s support for their administration’s goals.

“Beginning today, President Trump will get to work for our people, as he unleashes American energy and secures our border,” Ivey stated. “Alabama stands ready to support his mission to foster a stronger-than-ever America.”

Representative Mike Rogers: Border Security and Military Focus

U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (AL-03), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, expressed strong support for President Trump’s executive actions on border security and federal government reforms.

On border security, Rogers remarked, “The actions taken by President Trump are crucial to help stem the tide of illegal immigrants, lethal drugs, criminals, and terrorists crossing our southern border.”

Regarding Trump’s decision to end diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs in federal agencies, Rogers praised the move, stating it would restore the military’s focus on readiness and lethality.

“HASC Republicans are ready to get to work on strengthening our military and supporting President Trump’s Peace through Strength agenda,” he added.

Alabama’s officials have collectively voiced enthusiasm for the Trump administration’s vision and early actions, particularly in areas such as national security, border protection, and government reform. Their comments reflect a shared commitment to collaborating with the administration to achieve its objectives.
