Anniston, AL – On Tuesday, November 12, the Anniston Public Library invites the community to explore the extraordinary stories of Alabama’s pioneering nurses during World War I. At 2 p.m., Haley Aaron, Registrar at the Alabama Department of Archives and History, will deliver an insightful presentation titled “Alabama’s Nightingales – The Legacy of Alabama’s WWI Nurses.”
Aaron will delve into the lives and bravery of the state’s first generation of professional nurses who served on the frontlines in Italy and France, often under dangerous conditions.
