Alexandria, AL – On July 28, 2025, detectives with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office investigated a tip that a stolen motorcycle might be located at a residence in the 1500 block of Post Oak Road in Alexandria. When deputies arrived, they met with the resident, 55-year-old Larry Pritchett, who had several open failure-to-appear warrants for traffic violations in Calhoun County. Pritchett was taken into custody, and after giving consent for deputies to search his home, he admitted to having drugs inside the residence.

During the search, deputies discovered the stolen motorcycle, 195 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, and marijuana. Pritchett was transported to the Calhoun County Jail, where he faces multiple charges. These include possession of marijuana with a $5,000 bond, trafficking methamphetamine with a $300,000 bond, and being a certain person forbidden to carry a firearm with a $10,000 bond. He is also charged with receiving stolen property, carrying a $20,000 bond, and three separate failure-to-appear warrants for traffic citations, which carry no bond.

Sheriff Falon Hurst commended his team for their efforts, stating, “I am proud of our deputies and detectives. I am also happy anytime we have the opportunity to take drugs off the streets of Calhoun County.”
