Anniston, AL — The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the library, located at 108 E 10th Street, Anniston, AL 36201.
With a critical need for blood donors nationwide, this event offers residents a meaningful opportunity to give back and help save lives. Donors can pre-register for an appointment by visiting redcross.org/give-blood, but walk-ins are also welcome throughout the event.
As an added incentive, those who donate between May 19–31 will receive a free exclusive Red Cross solar lantern, while supplies last.
Every day, generous blood donors provide lifesaving help to patients in need—including accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and individuals undergoing cancer treatment. According to the Red Cross, someone in the U.S. requires blood every two seconds.
The Anniston Library’s blood drive is a chance for the community to come together for a powerful cause and make a lasting impact. All eligible donors are encouraged to attend and help meet this urgent medical need.
