Jacksonville, AL – America’s First Federal Credit Union (AmFirst) has officially begun construction on its highly anticipated student branch at Jacksonville State University (JSU). This milestone follows the historic partnership established in August 2024, which included the naming rights to AmFirst Stadium.
Located at the corner of Pelham Road North and Skelton Street Northwest, directly across from the Jax State College of Business and Industry, the new branch is set to open in Fall 2025. Designed to serve as a financial hub for students, faculty, and the broader Jacksonville community, the branch will offer both in-person and self-service banking solutions tailored to a tech-savvy generation.
The student-focused branch will operate during normal business hours, providing students with convenient access between classes. In addition, at least one ATM will be available on-site, offering 24/7 banking services.
“We are thrilled to take this next step in our partnership with Jax State,” said Kevin Morris, President and CEO of AmFirst. “This branch represents more than just a place to bank—it’s a commitment to supporting students, staff, and faculty in their financial journeys and strengthening our presence in the Jacksonville community.”
With a strong emphasis on digital banking, the branch will feature cutting-edge financial solutions designed for modern students. Self-service kiosks and innovative banking technologies will ensure a seamless and efficient banking experience for all members.
The expansion of AmFirst’s presence at JSU underscores the credit union’s long-term commitment to the university and its students. As construction progresses, AmFirst looks forward to further opportunities to engage with and support the Jax State community through this dynamic partnership.
