BIRMINGHAM, AL — AmFirst has received three national marketing awards from the Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC), recognizing the credit union’s work in video production, community engagement and partnership marketing.
The Birmingham-based credit union earned one Silver Award and two Bronze Awards in the 2026 MAC Awards competition. All three honors were awarded in the division for credit unions with more than $2 billion in assets.
AmFirst received a Silver Award in the Non-Commercial Video category for Fraud Uncovered – A Real Member’s Story, a video featuring a member’s firsthand experience with fraud. The project focused on raising awareness about financial fraud and encouraging preventive measures.
The credit union also received a Bronze Award in the Community Engagement category for its 2026 AmFirst Charity Sporting Clays Competition.
A second Bronze Award recognized AmFirst’s partnership with Jacksonville State University in the Sponsorship and Partnership Marketing category, highlighting the credit union’s marketing efforts associated with the university.
“These awards are a reflection of the creativity and thoughtfulness our team puts into telling the AmFirst story,” said Daniel Holmes, AmFirst’s Director of Marketing. “Whether we are supporting communities or creating new partnerships, our goal is to impact the members we serve.”
The 2026 MAC Awards competition attracted 548 entries from credit unions across the United States. Winners were recognized during the MAC Conference held September 17 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The three awards represent AmFirst’s first recognition in the MAC Awards competition.
The honors follow additional national recognition earlier in the year. In March, AmFirst received six Diamond Awards from America’s Credit Unions, an organization that recognizes achievements in credit union marketing.
The Marketing Association of Credit Unions has presented awards for marketing excellence since 1986. Its annual competition evaluates credit union marketing and communications initiatives across categories that include advertising, digital media, community engagement and partnerships.
Founded in 1936 by members of Birmingham’s steel industry, AmFirst is a federally chartered community credit union serving more than 200,000 members. The institution operates 22 locations across 13 Alabama counties and reports more than $2.7 billion in assets.
The credit union provides financial services to members throughout its service area and participates in community programs and institutional partnerships, including its relationship with Jacksonville State University.
