2025 Brush Pickup & Free Disposal Schedules

Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston has released the 2025 Brush Pickup Schedule, along with this year’s Free Disposal Day dates. These programs aim to keep the community clean and provide convenient waste disposal options for residents.

2025 Brush Pickup Schedule

The brush pickup calendar is color-coded by week, showing which ward the city’s Street Department will service. Residents can view the full schedule here, while the corresponding Brush Map, detailing ward boundaries, is available here.

Application

Key Information:

  • Missed Brush Pickup: If your brush is not collected during your scheduled week, contact the Public Works Department at 256-231-7742, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
  • Loose Leaf Pickup: This schedule does not cover loose leaf collection. However, bagged leaves may be picked up within a week of placing an online work order here.

2025 Free Disposal Days

The Free Disposal Day dates are marked with a star icon on the brush schedule and circled in red. These days provide residents with an opportunity to dispose of unwanted items at no cost.

  • February 14–15
  • March 14–15
  • May 16–17
  • June 20–21
  • August 15–16
  • September 19–20
  • November 14–15
  • December 19–20

Disposal Locations by Ward:

  • Ward 1: Pelham Park Parking Lot (349 Cave Road)
  • Ward 2: Carver Community Center Parking Lot (720 W. 14th St)
  • Ward 3: South Highland Community Center Parking Lot (229 Allen Ave)
  • Ward 4: Norwood Hodges Community Center Parking Lot (3125 Spring Valley Rd)

Additional Disposal and Recycling Resources

  • Free Landfill Days: Offered by the county in January, April, July, and October.
  • Cardboard Recycling Stations: Available at Norwood Hodges Community Center and Anniston City Meeting Center. Learn more about recycling at Anniston’s Recycling Program.
