Anniston Announces Exciting Opportunities for Youth: 2025 Summer Job Fair & Spring Break Activities

Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston is excited to provide two fantastic opportunities for local youth: the 2025 Youth Summer Job Fair and a week filled with engaging Spring Break Activities. These programs aim to offer employment opportunities and fun-filled events for young residents.

2025 Youth Summer Job Fair

  • Date: Thursday, March 20, 2025
  • Time: 5:00 PM CT
  • Location: Carver Community Center (720 W. 14th St., Anniston, AL 36201)

The City of Anniston will be hiring youth, ranging from age 16 through college, for a variety of summer job positions. Attendees will receive valuable guidance on completing job applications and preparing for interviews. The available positions and their respective pay rates are as follows:

RMC Ad
  • Day Camp Director – $15.29/hr
  • Day Camp Counselor – $10.42/hr
  • Lifeguard – $14.19/hr
  • Turf Care Worker – $10.42/hr

Applications for these positions will be accepted from March 21 – April 10, 2025.

Spring Break Activities

Blackberry Hill Summer Camp

Young residents of Anniston can look forward to an exciting lineup of Spring Break Activities. All activities are free except for a field trip to the Birmingham Zoo, which requires a $10 fee per camper. A Spring Break Day Camp at the Wiggins Community Center will also be available for $55 per camper.

Spring Break Schedule:

  • Monday, March 24: Fun and games at Carver Center (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
  • Tuesday, March 25: Center Meet-Up Day with free play (11:00 AM)
  • Wednesday, March 26: Fun and games at Hodges Center (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
  • Thursday, March 27: Field Trip to the Birmingham Zoo (Limited to 40 spots, $10 per camper) – Register at this link
  • Friday, March 28: Spring Break Fun Day at Zinn Park (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM), featuring inflatables, games, Kona Ice, and a special Anniston Museum show.

Spring Break Day Camp Details:

  • Dates: March 24 – March 28, 2025
  • Location: Wiggins Community Center
  • Cost: $55 per child
  • Open to:
    • Pre-K & Kindergarten children (ages 3–4, fully potty trained)
    • Day Campers (ages 5–12)
  • Requirements: Participants should bring a lunch and two snacks each day.
