ANNISTON, AL — The City of Anniston is inviting residents to participate in the Anniston Changers Blue Mountain Community Cleanup on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The community service event will focus on litter removal and beautification efforts throughout the Blue Mountain area and surrounding streets. Organizers are encouraging neighbors, churches, civic organizations, families, and volunteers to work together to help improve the community.
Participants will meet in the parking lot beside Blue Mountain Baptist Church, located at 15 Blue Mountain Road West in Anniston. Supplies will be provided, though volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, gloves, and closed-toe shoes.
According to event organizers, volunteers who have access to lawn mowers are also encouraged to bring them to assist with maintenance efforts. In addition to litter collection, participants may help mow select properties and assist with other beautification projects throughout the area.
The cleanup is being organized through the City of Anniston’s Anniston Changers initiative, which promotes community involvement and neighborhood improvement projects across the city.
