Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston and the Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association (NEABA) are partnering for a community volunteer event on Friday, June 28, 2025, aimed at enhancing two of the city’s outdoor landmarks—Michael Tucker Park and the Chief Ladiga Trail.
Scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the event is part of the ongoing Anniston Changers initiative, which encourages residents to engage in local beautification efforts. Volunteers will work along the trail between two designated starting points: the Anniston Amtrak Multimodal Center at 126 W 4th Street and Michael Tucker Park at 6514 Weaver Road. Teams from each location will move toward one another, focusing on cleaning and maintaining the trail and park areas.
Organizers say the effort not only improves public spaces but also strengthens community ties. The event is open to all ages, and residents are encouraged to participate.
Registration is available through the City of Anniston’s website. Tools and supplies will be provided for volunteers.
