Anniston, AL – A local educational initiative is gaining regional recognition as Blossom Tutoring of Anniston has been named one of 24 finalists in the Sparklight Dream Bigger Contest, a program designed to support innovative science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education projects in schools.
The contest highlights creative ideas aimed at enhancing STEM learning opportunities for students, with finalists competing for one of 12 grants valued at $2,500 each. These grants are intended to help bring proposed classroom projects to life and expand access to hands-on, forward-thinking educational experiences.
Blossom Tutoring’s selection as a finalist places Anniston among communities across the country working to advance STEM education through local initiatives. The program is part of Sparklight’s broader effort to invest in education and technology-driven learning.
Voting for the contest concluded on March 18, with community members previously encouraged to participate by reviewing project ideas and casting their votes online. The winners of the Dream Bigger Contest are scheduled to be announced on March 20.
