The Anniston Fire Department released the 2021 run report which showed over 6,500 calls for the year. The department believes in full transparency for the services they provide to the community. Below are the complete numbers submitted by the Anniston Fire Department administration.

For the full 2021 year there were a total of 6504 calls.

The breakdown of the types of calls are as follows:

  • 3491 – Rescue and Emergency medical Service 
  • 1326 – Good Intent Calls
  • 878 – Service Call
  • 365 – False Alarm & False Calls
  • 298 – Fires
  • 125 – Hazardous Condition (No Fire)
  • 8 – Severe Weather & Natural Disaster 
  • 7 – Overpressure rupture, explosion, overheat – no fire
  • 6 – Special Incident Type

 

For the month of December only there were a total of 548 calls. 

The breakdown of the types of calls are as follows:

  • 298 – Rescue and Emergency medical Service 
  • 108 – Good Intent Calls
  • 80 – Service Call
  • 27 – Fires
  • 22 – False Alarm & False Calls
  • 12 – Hazardous Condition (No Fire)
  • 1 – Severe Weather & Natural Disaster
