Anniston Fire vs. Police Chili Cook-Off: A Spicy Showdown for a Good Cause

Fire VS Police Chili Cook-Off

Anniston, AL – In a sizzling event that promises to heat up Main Street Anniston, the 2nd annual Chili Cook-off is set to take place on Friday, December 8th. This fiery competition, organized in collaboration with The Anniston Police Department, aims to benefit the annual APD Toy Drive, adding a flavorful twist to the season of giving.

Local officers and community teams are gearing up to go head-to-head, vying for the coveted title of Anniston’s Best Bowl of Chili. The event, hosted at the NEABA Headquarters on 26 West 10th Street, is a perfect opportunity for the community to come together, support local law enforcement, and enjoy some mouthwatering chili varieties.

Admission to this spicy showdown is either $10 at the door or a new, unwrapped toy – a contribution that directly supports the APD Toy Drive, ensuring a brighter Christmas for children in the community. With admission, attendees receive 5 sampling tickets, access to drinks and condiments, and a voting ticket for the People’s Choice – Best Chili award.

Once attendees have discovered their favorite chili among the contenders, they can purchase a bowl for an additional $5 while supplies last, allowing them to savor their top pick to the fullest.

The organizers at Main Street Anniston are enthusiastic about the event and its dual purpose of fostering community spirit and supporting a good cause. “Mark your calendars and join us as we support the Anniston Police Department and their annual Toy Drive for Christmas in our community,” they encourage.

For those with a competitive spirit in the kitchen, the invitation is open to participate in the cook-off. Interested individuals or teams can reach out to Main Street Anniston at [email protected] for more details.
