Anniston, AL – Runners and walkers of all skill levels are invited to lace up their shoes and “Run For Sight” at the annual Race Day 8K/5K, hosted by the Anniston Lions Club on Saturday, April 19, 2025. The event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at the scenic Ft. McClellan, offering participants the chance to race through a beautiful, USATF Certified 8K course.
For those not quite ready to tackle the 8K, a 5K option is also available. On-the-day registration is $28, and participants can sign up the morning of the race.
Race Day promises more than just a great run. Attendees will enjoy awards, food, door prizes, and a visit from Leo the Lion, the club’s beloved mascot. The event is a community favorite that combines fitness with a purpose—raising funds and awareness for vision programs and services supported by the Lions Club.
