Children's Story and Craft Hour

Anniston, AL – An enchanting experience awaits young minds at the Anniston Museum and Gardens (AM&G) as they gear up to host a Children’s Story and Craft Hour on January 20th, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. This delightful event, organized by the AM&G Education Department, promises a morning filled with captivating stories, live animal encounters, and creative crafts.*

Featured Story: “The Snowy Owl”

Bear and Sons

The highlight of the event will be the reading of the charming children’s book, “The Snowy Owl.” Designed to capture the imagination of young listeners, this story will transport them into a world of adventure and discovery. As part of the interactive experience, attendees will also have the unique opportunity to meet a live animal ambassador, adding an exciting and educational element to the day.

Crafting Fun with an Owl-themed Twist

Following the story and animal encounter, children will have the chance to unleash their creativity with a hands-on craft session. The craft will revolve around an owl theme, allowing young participants to express their artistic talents while creating a memorable keepsake from the day’s festivities. The AM&G Education Department has carefully curated the craft to align with the story’s theme, ensuring a cohesive and enjoyable experience for all.

Although the program is specifically geared towards preschool and elementary-aged children, all are welcome to join in the fun. The diverse activities are designed to cater to various age groups, fostering an inclusive environment where families can come together for a shared adventure.

The Children’s Story and Craft Hour is included with the daily admission fee to the Anniston Museum and Gardens. For those who are AM&G Members, the event is a complimentary bonus, providing an extra perk for the dedicated supporters of the museum.
