Anniston Museums and Gardens Hosts Exciting “Gross Out Camp” for Kids

Gross Out Camp

Anniston, AL — Get ready for an adventure like no other as Anniston Museums and Gardens welcomes Gross Out Camp this summer! Scheduled for two sessions, from June 3rd to 7th and July 8th to 12th, this camp runs daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and promises to be a thrilling outdoor experience for kids entering 1st through 4th grades.

Gross Out Camp is designed to help kids put down their devices, step outside, and explore the wonders of the natural world. By engaging in activities such as hiking in the woods, walking in the creek, and participating in hands-on experiments, campers will put their curiosity to work and learn more about the environment around them.

“At Gross Out Camp, we believe that a child’s natural habitat is the great outdoors,” says the camp’s organizers. “That’s exactly where you’ll find us. Nature is full of surprises, and sometimes those surprises can be a little gross. But at Gross Out Camp, we see that as a good thing.”

This unique camp encourages children to explore the icky, slimy, and squishy side of science, helping them gain a greater appreciation for the natural world. Whether they’re looking for bugs under a rock or catching salamanders in the creek, campers are always engaged and excited to learn.
