Anniston Museums and Gardens to Host ‘I Spy!’ Event at Berman Museum

I Spy! Sgt. Reckless the War Horse

Anniston, AL — On November 2nd, from 1 to 2 p.m., the Berman Museum, part of the Anniston Museums and Gardens located on Museum Drive, will host its monthly “I Spy!” event. This engaging series introduces young visitors to historical figures and fascinating stories through interactive learning.

This month’s “I Spy!” spotlight shines on a unique and heroic figure from the Korean War—a war hero who stood out for being an unexpected participant: a horse. Through captivating stories, an exciting scavenger hunt, and creative crafts, children will discover the extraordinary tale of this four-legged hero and the significant role it played during wartime.

The program is tailored for children aged 6 to 10, but attendees of all ages are welcome to join. “I Spy!” is included with regular museum admission, making it an excellent opportunity for families to enjoy an educational afternoon together. AM&G members can attend for free, adding further value to their membership.

Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure ample space and supplies for all participants. For families and history enthusiasts, this event promises an enriching experience that blends fun activities with the discovery of a unique chapter in history.
