ANNISTON, AL – The Anniston Museums and Gardens is gearing up for an exciting day of events on Thursday, February 20, offering opportunities for both gardening enthusiasts and homeowners preparing for spring.
The day kicks off with the Third Thursday Plant Sale at the Longleaf Botanical Gardens Greenhouses from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Attendees will have the chance to purchase a variety of trees, shrubs, native plants, tropicals, and more. Proceeds will support the continued growth of the Longleaf Botanical Gardens. Visitors can access the sale by driving up Museum Drive, passing the Anniston Museum of Natural History and the Berman Museum, and turning left at the Monarch Butterfly.
At 12:00 p.m., the museum will host Third Thursday: Winter Lawn Mower Maintenance, a hands-on workshop designed to help homeowners keep their lawn equipment in top shape during the colder months. Participants will learn essential mower components, storage techniques, routine maintenance, and fuel recommendations to ensure their equipment is ready for spring.
Third Thursday programs cost $5 per person and are free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members.
Both events will take place at the Anniston Museums and Gardens, located at Museum Drive in Anniston.
