Anniston, AL –The Anniston Museums and Gardens invites the public to attend “Snacks with Snakes,” a family-friendly educational event set for Saturday, August 2, at 2:00 p.m. Held on the museum campus on Museum Drive in Anniston, this interactive program offers guests the chance to enjoy snacks while engaging with several of the museum’s resident ambassador snakes.
Led by an educational interpreter, the event will include up-close encounters with the reptiles and provide insight into their unique behaviors and characteristics. Attendees will also learn about the museum’s Adopt-an-Ambassador program, which supports the care and enrichment of the animal ambassadors.
Participants will hear stories about how each snake came to reside at the museum and the important role they play in public education and conservation awareness. The event is included with regular museum admission and is free for members of the Anniston Museums and Gardens.
“Snacks with Snakes” is part of the museum’s ongoing commitment to environmental education and community engagement through hands-on learning experiences.
