ANNISTON, AL — Anniston Museums and Gardens will offer its next Third Thursday educational program on August 20, focusing on the beauty, care and cultivation of Brugmansia, commonly known as Angel Trumpets.
The program, titled “Third Thursday: Angel Trumpets – Beautiful Brugmansia,” will begin at noon and will feature Phyllis Porter. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the tropical plants, which are known for their large, trumpet-shaped flowers.
Porter will discuss the characteristics of Brugmansia as well as information about caring for and cultivating the plants. Plants will also be available for purchase following the program.
The event is part of the Third Thursday programming offered through Anniston Museums and Gardens and Longleaf Botanical Gardens.
Admission to the program is $5 per person. Anniston Museums and Gardens members may attend at no charge.
The program will be held Thursday, August 20, at noon at Anniston Museums and Gardens on Museum Drive in Anniston.
