ANNISTON, AL — An Anniston police officer and two civilians were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning at the intersection of Noble Street and 21st Street, according to the Anniston Police Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:05 a.m. and involved an Anniston Police Department patrol vehicle and a Kia Soul.
According to the Anniston Police Department, the patrol vehicle was traveling northbound on Noble Street when the Kia Soul pulled out from 21st Street and into the path of the patrol vehicle.
The driver of the Kia Soul and one passenger were transported to Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The Anniston police officer was also transported to RMC for treatment of a broken arm.
The Anniston Police Department confirmed that no pedestrians were involved in the crash.
Reports and speculation circulating on social media have described the incident as involving a fatality or a pedestrian. However, according to information provided by the Anniston Police Department, no fatalities occurred and no pedestrians were involved.
