Anniston Police Department’s Thanksgiving Food Drive: A Call for Community Support

Anniston Police Food Drive

Anniston, AL – In the spirit of giving, the Anniston Police Department has launched a heartfelt initiative to ensure that every member of their community enjoys a bountiful Thanksgiving meal. As Thanksgiving approaches, they are reaching out to residents and businesses, asking for help to make this holiday season a little brighter for those in need.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and the Anniston Police Department is calling on the community to rally together and lend a helping hand. The message is clear: your assistance is invaluable, and they’re seeking nonperishable food donations to make this Thanksgiving special for everyone.

The food drive is in full swing, and they are encouraging generous individuals to donate nonperishable items such as canned goods and dry goods. These donations will ensure that families in the Anniston community can savor a delicious Thanksgiving feast. The collection point for these donations is the Anniston Police Station, located at 174 W. 13th St, Anniston, AL 36201.

The deadline for these donations is fast approaching, with November 21, 2023, set as the cutoff date. It’s a small window of opportunity, but with the support of the community, it’s one that promises to have a profound impact.

For those who may have questions or need additional information, the Anniston Police Department has set up a dedicated hotline at 256-238-1800. This hotline is available to provide assistance and address any concerns related to the food drive.

To ensure that everyone is on the same page, the Anniston Police Department has also provided examples of the kinds of nonperishable items they are seeking. These include canned goods like candied yams, chicken stock, corn, cranberry sauce, gravy, ham, cream of mushroom soup, green beans, mixed vegetables, pasta sauce, French fried onions, fruit, and pumpkin pie filling. Additionally, dry goods such as beans, biscuit or bread mix, gravy mix, instant mashed potatoes, cake and/or brownie mix, pasta noodles, rice, and stuffing mix are also welcome.

The Anniston Police Department’s Thanksgiving Food Drive is a testament to their dedication to the community. By coming together and contributing what they can, residents and local businesses have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference this holiday season. It’s a reminder that in Anniston, the spirit of Thanksgiving is about sharing and supporting one another, ensuring that no one is left without a good holiday meal.

Let’s join the Anniston Police Department in this initiative, sharing the warmth and joy of Thanksgiving with those in need. Remember, the deadline is November 21, 2023, so act soon and make this holiday season a little brighter for your neighbors and friends in Anniston.
