ANNISTON, AL — The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County is gearing up for a day of fun and fandom as it celebrates Free Comic Book Day on Friday, May 2. From 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., teens are invited to stop by the library’s Young Adult Department to pick up a free comic book, no registration or purchase required.
The event is part of a nationwide celebration designed to encourage reading through the vibrant world of comics. Whether you’re into superheroes, sci-fi, fantasy, or graphic novels, there’s something for every young reader to enjoy.
Library staff encourage teens to drop in anytime during the day to grab a comic and explore more of what the library has to offer in its growing young adult collection. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Free Comic Book Day is a great opportunity for teens to discover new stories, meet fellow fans, and kick off the summer reading season with excitement and imagination.
