Anniston Free Disposal Day

Anniston, AL – As the holiday season unfolds, Anniston Public Works is unveiling a series of updates to ensure the cleanliness and vibrancy of the community. Readers are invited to discover crucial information regarding the accelerated brush pickup, leaf collection, and the upcoming Free Disposal Day Weekend.

Accelerated Brush Pickup: Throughout December, the dedicated brush pickup crews are tirelessly working to preserve the city’s aesthetic appeal. Operating at an accelerated pace, the crews will bypass the typical weekly rotation, reaching residents’ locations earlier than scheduled. To stay informed about the current pickup route, residents are encouraged to check the map and schedule at tinyurl.com/38y998at. Currently stationed in Ward 1, crews may advance to Ward 2 or other areas before the commencement of the next week.

Leaf Vacuum Truck Schedule for Edgefield Farms & Dearmanville Road: On Friday, December 8, 2023, the leaf vacuum truck will provide services to the Edgefield Farms & Dearmanville Road communities. Residents in these areas are advised to place loose leaves on the curb for collection. Unlike the brush pickup, the leaf vacuum truck follows a unique schedule, resuming each day where it concluded the day before. To expedite leaf pickup, citizens are urged to bag their leaves and submit a work order for prompt collection. Bagged leaves will be picked up within one (1) week if a work order is placed online or by phone.
