The City of Anniston asks that you please be aware of several railroad crossings being closed for 1-2 days due to maintenance work being performed by Norfolk Southern.
The tentative start date for the work is January 24, 2022, Norfolk Southern asks that you note how this date is subject to change. The work will start at 125 W 4th St, Anniston, AL 36201.
The work will consist of tearing out the existing crossings and replacing the dated railroad ties with new ones, and then Norfolk Southern will service the respective tracks.
