Established in 2017, the Suzy Spiceland Michelson Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Suzy Spiceland Michelson, a beloved librarian at Constantine Elementary School and an avid marathon runner who passed away in 2016. As a tribute to Michelson’s legacy, the Anniston Runners Club, of which she was a member, sponsors the scholarship annually to support promising scholar athletes in the East Alabama area. This year’s scholarship was also made possible through contributions from the Treadhoofalon event at Camp McClellan Horse Trails.

Their mission underscores the immense health benefits of running while providing mentorship and guidance to young athletes in pursuit of their dreams.
