Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston’s “Good Choices” Program invites the community to the 23rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast & Youth Participation Day on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 9:00 AM. This cherished event will take place at the Anniston City Meeting Center, located at 1615 Noble Street.
The breakfast serves as a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of unity, equality, and non-violence. The event also aims to inspire local youth to embody Dr. King’s vision. Participants can enjoy performances by talented local youth, including dance and poetry.
This year’s keynote speaker is Lieutenant Colonel Amber White, a Saks High School graduate from the Class of 2000. Her distinguished career and commitment to service make her an inspiring choice for the occasion.
Students from all city and county schools are encouraged to attend, with a special award going to the class with the highest participation. Students can sign in on-site the day of the event or pre-register at www.annistonal.gov/mlk-sign-in.
