Anniston To Host Juneteenth Educational Field Trip to Tuskegee

Juneteenth Field Trip

Anniston, AL – In honor of Juneteenth, the City of Anniston is offering a special educational opportunity for local youth. On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, students ages 12 to 18 are invited to participate in a day-long field trip to Tuskegee University and the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site.

The trip will depart from the Anniston City Meeting Center, located at 1615 Noble Street, at 8:00 a.m. and return at 5:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided for all participants. The cost to attend is $15 per student, and the event is limited to 45 youth on a first-come, first-served basis.

This educational excursion is designed to introduce participants to the significant contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen and the historical impact of Tuskegee University. The event aims to foster a deeper understanding of African American history and leadership in connection with the spirit of Juneteenth.

To participate, students must submit both payment and a completed permission slip at Anniston City Hall, 1129 Noble Street. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A permission slip can be accessed via the QR code on the event flyer or at https://tinyurl.com/bde2thj2.
